Preview: Richfield Wildcats vs. Snow Canyon Warriors
The Richfield Wildcats's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Snow Canyon Warriors at 8:00 p.m. on November 30th. Hopefully Richfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 last Tuesday.
Richfield lost a heartbreaker to Grantsville when they met back in November of 2021, and they left with a heavy heart again. Richfield took a 59-40 bruising from Grantsville. Richfield has struggled against Grantsville recently, as their match last Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their loss, Richfield saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Abbee Albrecht, who scored 6 points along with 11 rebounds and 4 blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Albrecht is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hallie Janes, who scored 12 points along with 3 blocks.
Meanwhile, everything went Snow Canyon's way against Beaver last Tuesday as Snow Canyon made off with a 55-35 victory.
Their wins bumped Richfield to 2-1 and Grantsville to 2-0.
Richfield was able to grind out a solid win over Snow Canyon in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, winning 60-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Richfield since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
