Basketball Recap: North Port Gets the Win + How To Watch

The North Port Bobcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-49 win over the Babcock Trailblazers on Tuesday.

Babcock's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan DeMond, who went 7-for-10 en route to 19 points and six rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, DeMond now owns an excellent 47.9% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Finn Habing, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 15 points and three steals.

North Port now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Babcock, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, North Port will square off against Northwestern at 3:20 p.m. on Saturday. As for Babcock, they will be taking part in a tournament against Marco Island Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
