Volleyball Recap: Sussex Academy Comes Up Short

Sussex Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Delmarva Christian Royals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in April.

Sussex Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Delmarva Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sussex Academy will host Smyrna at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Seahawks are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Delmarva Christian, they will welcome Delcastle Technical at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Royals will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: the Cougars will have lost three straight heading into Monday's game.
