Basketball Game Preview: Millennium Falcons vs. River Islands Riptide

The Millennium Falcons will venture away from home to take on the River Islands Riptide at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Millennium has now lost 17 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 4.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-35, which was the final score in Millennium's tilt against Aspire Langston Hughes Academy on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 65 points the game before, River Islands was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Venture Academy and fell 65-30. The Riptide were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-15.

Millennium's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for River Islands, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-12.

Millennium took a serious blow against River Islands when the teams last played back in January, falling 78-47. Can Millennium avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
