Baseball Recap: Garfield Comes Up Short

Garfield was the 6-3 winner over Seattle Prep when they last played one another back in May of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Monday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Garfield saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Malcolm Davis, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Davis is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Garfield's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Seattle Prep, they pushed their record up to 11-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Garfield is set to square off against their familiar foe Lakeside at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Seattle Prep will challenge rival Ballard at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
