Soccer Recap: Jackson Comes Up Short

Jackson fell victim to Adrian and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maples. The shutout was certainly out of character for Jackson, seeing as the last time the team was held without a goal was August 27th.

Jackson has now lost five of their last six games on the road. That's taken a bite out of their 5-9-2 record this season. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 3-0-1 Chelsea (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 71% over those games). As for Adrian, the victory improved their record to 9-5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson will venture away from home to square off against Western at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Adrian, they will head out to take on Ypsilanti at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ypsilanti will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Adrian surely won't give up without a fight.
