Basketball Recap: Bloomington South Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bloomington South waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 78-68 win over the Northview Knights. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 51-47 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Northview still got an impressive performance from Avery Perry, who went 8-for-15 to rack up 26 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Perry a new career-high in points. Trayven Buis was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Bloomington South's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Northview, with the loss, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 22-2.

Coming up, Bloomington South and Bloomington North will meet in a classic North v. South matchup at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bloomington South has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Northview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
