Softball Recap: Carteret Ramblers vs. Dunellen Destroyers
Carteret proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 15) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Dunellen Destroyers 13-11. For the Ramblers, this counts as revenge for the 15-14 win the Destroyers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2018.

Daniela Portillo was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two doubles. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Miyah Knight, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Carteret is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games.
