Waccamaw won the last time they faced Marlboro County and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Reese Rutkowski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, Waccamaw's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Campbell Williams, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Waccamaw's record is now 5-9. As for Marlboro County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Waccamaw and Marlboro County will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Warriors see the field they'll take on Myrtle Beach at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Marlboro County, their break will end when they face Dillon at 6:30 p.m. on the 29th.
