Softball Recap: Sierra Pacific Snags Eighth Win in Last Ten Games

Sierra Pacific's tournament run continued when they took on Chavez on Saturday. The Golden Bears walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Titans.

The team relied heavily on Miranda Reyes, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Misha Soares, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Sierra Pacific hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive games.

Sierra Pacific has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Chavez, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Sierra Pacific will look to defend their home field on the 22nd against Hanford West at 4:00 p.m. As for Chavez, they will be taking part in a tournament against Avenal at 9:00 a.m. on Monday.
