Baseball Recap: Nathan Hale Takes a Loss

Nathan Hale extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 7-22. They came up short against the Inola Longhorns, falling 15-1. If the Rangers were looking for revenge after losing 10-1 to the Longhorns when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Inola, their record is now 15-6. The result was nothing new for the Longhorns, who have now won eight contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

For Inola's part, Matthew Wise tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

On the hitting side, Inola got a massive performance out of Charlie Castleman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles Castleman has posted since back in March. Ethan Weatherly was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Nathan Hale will challenge rival Regent Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Inola is set to square off against their familiar foe Cleveland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
