Baseball Recap: Atlantic Takes a Loss

Atlantic lost against New Smyrna Beach back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Sharks came up short against the Barracudas, falling 8-1. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Atlantic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Bloyen, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Atlantic's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for New Smyrna Beach, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atlantic will take on University at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for New Smyrna Beach, they will welcome Pine Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Barracudas are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
