On the hitting side, Dyer County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was John Smith, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. That stolen base was Smith's first of the season. David Headtke was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Dyer County now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Fayette Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
