Baseball Recap: Lighthouse Christian Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

The Lighthouse Christian Chargers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the New Heights Christian Academy Cougars on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Braden Wright, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Jeremiah Wagner was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Lighthouse Christian's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for New Heights Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Coming up, Lighthouse Christian will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Wheatland at 5:00 p.m. New Heights Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
