After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Roaring Fork, Gunnison was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 60-44 win over the Crested Butte Titans. That looming 60-44 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cowboys yet this season.

When it comes to explaining why Crested Butte lost, don't look at Adin Kurak. Despite the final result, he posted 26 points and five steals. That was a full 59.1% of Crested Butte's points, marking the fifth time in a row Kurak has put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Bridger Flores, who scored seven points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Gunnison's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Crested Butte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gunnison will face off against Telluride at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Crested Butte, they are taking a road trip to square off against Cotopaxi at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
