Eastern Wayne extended their home winning streak to eight games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Izeiah Oates. The Warriors enjoyed a cozy 18-3 win over the C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons on Friday thanks in part to Oates, who rushed for 74 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 138 yards and one TD. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played.

Eastern Wayne's defense made their presence known, laying out Justice Legg. four times. Caleb Jordan was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.

Eastern Wayne's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for C.B. Aycock, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
