The Bay School Breakers will head out on the road to square off against the Design Tech Dragons at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (The Bay School has three straight wins, Design Tech has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Wednesday, The Bay School got the win against Lick-Wilmerding by a conclusive 11-1. Fans of the Breakers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Ansel Hermanos and Max Lee made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Hermanos didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Meanwhile, Lee tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. At the plate, Hermanos scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4, while Lee scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Hermanos is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nate Won, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two doubles. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in doubles. Jasper Cook was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
The Bay School kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Design Tech came up short against South San Francisco on Wednesday, falling 9-1.
Design Tech saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddox Hom, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
The Bay School's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12 runs. As for Design Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
Design Tech's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: The Bay School hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .417. It's a different story for Design Tech, though, as they've only averaged .222. Will they be able to contain The Bay School's hitters?
The Bay School was able to grind out a solid win over Design Tech in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for The Bay School since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
