Softball Recap: Orchard View Comes Up Short

Orchard View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against the Ludington Orioles, falling 14-4. Surprisingly, this marked the Cardinals' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Eliana Jennings made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Orchard View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Ludington, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orchard View will challenge Fremont at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ludington, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Cadillac at 4:00 p.m.
