Softball Recap: Roosevelt's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Roosevelt's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 14-10 victory over the Streetsboro Rockets. Considering the Rough Riders' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Brynn Moser made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Moser was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emelia Gates, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Lily Robb was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Roosevelt always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Roosevelt moved to 5-6 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Streetsboro, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
