Volleyball Game Preview: Cranberry Area Berries vs. East Forest Bears

After both having extra time off, the Cranberry Area Berries and the East Forest Bears will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Cranberry Area came up short against Cambridge Springs and fell 3-1. The Berries have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Cambridge Springs got the win, Cranberry Area sure made them earn it: two sets took extra rallies. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-11, 23-25, 28-26.

Meanwhile, East Forest came up short against Clarion-Limestone last Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.

East Forest may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored zero points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

East Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Cranberry Area, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Cranberry Area took their win against East Forest in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Berries repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
