While North Daviess's victory against Linton-Stockton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Miners 7-6. The victory was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won four contests in a row.

North Daviess' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Linton-Stockton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Coming up, North Daviess will venture away from home to challenge North Knox at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Linton-Stockton, they will welcome Bloomington South at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
