            Softball Preview: Bothell Cougars vs. Issaquah Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            The Bothell Cougars will challenge the Issaquah Eagles at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Both come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Bothell is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lake Washington on Wednesday, sneaking past  9-7. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Cougars.
The team  relied heavily on  Avery Jensen, who  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  doubles  she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Kolbi Schmer, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Bothell  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake Washington only posted  an  OBP of  .455.
Meanwhile, Issaquah made easy work of Everett  on Tuesday and carried off  a  12-2 win.
 Shae Erickson (2027) made a big impact no matter where she played. She  struck out nine batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. Erickson (2027) was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Riley Baumann (2026) was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.  Campbell Garvey (2027) was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with four  RBI.
 Issaquah's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Bothell,  the  win  got them back to even at 2-2.
 Bothell might still be hurting after the  11-2 loss they got from Issaquah  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2024. Can Bothell avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
