Basketball Recap: Elkhorn Takes a Loss

Elkhorn lost against Waterford back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Elkhorn Elks took a 61-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waterford Wolverines. The game marked the Elks' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Elkhorn's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Waterford, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Elkhorn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-58 win against Monona Grove on the 11th. As for Waterford, they will square off against Union Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Waterford knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Union Grove likes a good challenge.
