Basketball Recap: Lynn English Comes Up Short

Lynn English was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 67-62 heartbreaker at the hands of the Braintree Wamps. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Wamps are ranked 24th).

Lynn English's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Braintree, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Coming up, Lynn English won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Catholic Memorial at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. As for Braintree, they and Charlestown will face off at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday without much rest, having both just played.
