Softball Game Preview: Holt Ironmen vs. West Blocton Tigers

Holt hasn't had much luck against West Blocton recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Holt is taking a road trip to square off against West Blocton at 4:30 p.m. Holt has given up an average of 11.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Holt fell victim to American Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 16-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Ironmen were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, West Blocton finally came back down to earth last Thursday. They fell 4-1 to American Christian Academy. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

West Blocton's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Holt, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Holt suffered a grim 19-1 defeat to West Blocton in their previous matchup back in March of 2022. Can Holt avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
