Paramus is 8-1-1 against Hackensack since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Comets at 4:15 p.m.
Paramus easily dispatched Cliffside Park on Monday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Spartans fell just short of Dumont by a score of 10-8 on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, while Hackensack put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Dwight Morrow. The Comets put the hurt on the Maroon Raiders with a sharp 19-0 win. The Comets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Hailey DeFalco, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Briana Darling was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Hackensack kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive matchups.
Hackensack's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7-1. As for Paramus, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
