Basketball Recap: Boyd Comes Up Short

If Boyd was riding high fresh off their 55-33 takedown of Valley View last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Boyd Yellowjackets took a 55-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Paradise Panthers on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-21 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Boyd lost, don't look at Myles Richardson. Despite the final result, he posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Spencer Harrison, who scored eight points.

Boyd's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-22. As for Paradise, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.

Boyd didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 78-60 loss against Callisburg on the 7th. As for Paradise, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 51-48 victory against Whitesboro on the 7th.
