Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Hebbronville walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Santa Rosa Warriors a 22-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Longhorns, who have now won 14 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Hebbronville has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Santa Rosa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hebbronville beat the Warriors by a score of 15-0 later that day.
