Recap: Southwest Wildcats vs. Higbee Tigers

After a string of three wins, the Southwest Wildcats's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 77-38 loss at the hands of Higbee. Southwest has struggled against Higbee recently, as their matchup on Monday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Southwest lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Will Hughes, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Hughes has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Warren, who scored 14 points along with two steals.

Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Higbee, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1.

Southwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Higbee, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Braymer at 7:30 p.m. Braymer is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
