2010 U.S. Air Force All-American Team

MaxPreps presents the 2010 U.S. Air Force All-American team.

With the 2010 football season officially in the books, MaxPreps presents the 2010 U.S. Air Force All-American Football Team, a collection of the country’s finest high school football players.

Players were selected based on their performances during the 2010 season, and the local honors they earned within their respective states.

The U.S. Air Force National Player of the Year will be announced on Wednesday, Jan. 12.

Kasen Williams, WR, 6-2, 215, Skyline (Sammamish, Wash.), Senior, Washington
Video
Williams capped off a stellar career by hauling in 86 catches for 1,579 yards and 21 touchdowns to lead Skyline to the 4A state finals.



Sammy Watkins, WR, 6-2, 194, South Fort Myers (Fort Myers, Fla.), Senior, Clemson

The speedy Watkins was the News-Press player of the year after catching 54 passes for 1,268 yards and 14 scores.

Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, 6-6, 220, Hillcrest (Springfield, Mo.), Junior, Undecided
Video
Green-Beckham could go down as one of the top high school receivers ever. With his 78 catches for 1,706 yards and 17 touchdowns this year, he now holds Missouri career records for most receiving yards (4,154) and touchdowns (51).

An AAA all-state pick in the Keystone State, Koyack snagged 62 passes for 1,031 yards, finding the end zone 11 times.

Reese Dismukes, OL, 6-5, 292, Spanish Fort (Spanish Fort, Ala.) Senior, Auburn
An ASWA Super 12 selection and 5A’s lineman on the year, Dismukes was a dominant force for Spanish Fort in the trenches.

Brandon Shell, OL, 6-7, 290, Goose Creek (S.C.), Senior, South Carolina

Shell paved the way for Goose Creek’s explosive rushing attack that helped the Gators finish 13-1. He was also named Lowcountry Player of the Year.

La'El Collins, OL, 6-5, 310, Redemptorist (Baton Rouge, La.), Senior, LSU
It was the work of Collins that allowed Redemptorist teammate Jeremy Hill to rush for 2,260 yards.

Greg Robinson, OL, 6-5, 300, Thibodaux (La.), Senior, LSU
Robinson, a 5A all-state selection, imposed his will on defensive linemen this year.

Huge tackle was an all-state pick and will be staying home to play for the Razorbacks next year.

Worley ended his outstanding career with more eye-popping statistics. He completed 428 of 589 passes for 5,313 yards and a state-record 64 touchdowns.

Quentin Williams, QB, 6-1, 190, Jefferson (Tampa, Fla.), Senior, Bethune-Cookman
Florida’s Mr. Football, Williams completed 214 of 326 passes for 4,451 yards and 56 touchdowns in leading Jefferson to a 3A state title. Williams used his legs to rush for an additional 10 touchdowns.

Demetrius Hart, RB, 5-9, 185, Dr. Phillips (Orlando, Fla.), Senior, Michigan
Video
Hart rushed 253 times for 2,224 yards and 50 touchdowns in leading Dr. Phillips to the 6A title came. He also accounted for over 1,000 yards receiving and returning kicks.

Mike Bellamy, RB, 5-11, 185, Charlotte (Punta Gorda, Fla.), Senior, Clemson

One of the fastest running backs in the country, Bellamy exploded as a senior, compiling 2,402 yards on 237 carries, while hitting paydirt 41 times.

Gray’s Texas-sized legend continues to grow. In 2010, he broke a Lone Star State record with 59 rushing touchdowns to go along with 3,221 yards on 315 attempts.

Dano Graves, ATH, 5-9, 185, Folsom (Calif.), Senior, Undecided
Video
Graves was the driving force behind Folsom's CIF Bowl-winning season. He completed 236 of 366 passes for 3,702 yards and 62 touchdowns, while rushing 165 times for 994 yards and another 23 scores.



Kyle Brindza, K, 6-2, 195, Plymouth (Canton, Mich.), Senior, Notre Dame
Brindza was a key cog in Plymouth’s run to the Division 1 state finals. He kicked a state-record 18 field goals, including six that were from 50 yards or longer.

One of the most impressive defensive prospects in recent memory, Clowney was responsible for 162 tackles, 29.5 sacks, and 11 forced fumbles. He also scored five defensive touchdowns.

In a year dominated by defensive ends around the country, Moala stands out as one of the top interior linemen, registering 131 tackles and 16 sacks en route to Sacramento Bee Defensive Player of the Year honors.

The Palm Beach Post Defensive Player of the Year terrorized opposing backfields, accounting for 15 sacks and 15 tackles for loss for an outstanding Dwyer squad.

Anthony Johnson, DL, 6-3, 285, O. Perry Walker (New Orleans, La.), Senior, LSU
With 129 tackles and 17 sacks, Johnson, a 4A all-state pick, was named Louisiana’s Mr. Football.

The Post-Dispatch Defensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row, Meehan posted 177 tackles, 10 sacks, and five interceptions to power Webster Groves to the state finals.

The leader of a staunch Hermitage defensive unit, Grant totaled 121 tackles and six sacks as the Panthers captured Virginia’s Division 6 crown.

Frost was the All-Mecklenburg defensive player of the year, leading Butler to a second-straight 4AA state title by totaling 103 tackles and five sacks.

Ohio’s Division 1 defensive player of the year, DePriest registered 92 tackles and seven sacks while returning two of his three interceptions the distance.

Vinnie Sunseri, LB, 5-11, 193, Northridge (Tuscaloosa, Ala.), Senior, Alabama
Sunseri was a 6A all-state selection as well as a Super 12 pick after recording 144 tackles for Northridge.

The All-Tiderwater player of the year was responsible for three interceptions and 19 pass break breakups in leading Bayside to the Division 6 title game.

Davonte Neal, DB, 5-9, 173, Chaparral (Scottsdale, Ariz.), Junior, Undecided
The Arizona Republic named Neal its Big School player of the year after he intercepted five passes, returned two of them for scores, and scored four times on kick returns.

Brandon Swindall, DB, 6-3, 175, Millwood (Oklahoma City, Okla.), Senior, Undecided
Swindall returned eight interceptions for touchdowns, an astonishing feat for one of Oklahoma's most-talented players. He finished with a whopping 17 interceptions.

George Farmer, DB, 6-2, 210, Serra (Gardena, Calif.), Senior, USC
Farmer was a do-everything star for Serra, starring at receiver as well as safety, where he picked off three passes.



Tommy Hibbard, P, 5-9, 180, Butler (Matthews, N.C.), Senior, Undecided
Hibbard was a key part of Butler’s 4AA championship run, averaging 51 yards per punt and earning all-state honors.

Trey Metoyer, WR, 6-2, 185, Whitehouse (Whitehouse, Texas), Senior, Oklahoma
Metoyer earned 4A all-state honors after hauling in 87 catches for 1,304 yards and 21 touchdowns.

Richard Mullaney, WR, 6-3, 185, Thousand Oaks (Thousand Oaks, Calif.), Senior, Oregon State
Even against stiff competition, Mullaney’s numbers were mind-boggling. He caught 122 passes for 1,703 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Nate Fakahafua, WR, 6-4, 195, Highland (Salt Lake City, Utah), Senior, Utah

Utah’s 4A player of the year, Fakahafua caught 58 passes for 1,351 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also starred at defensive end.

Ray Hamilton, TE, 6-5, 240, Strongsville (Strongsville, Ohio), Senior, Iowa
Ohio’s Division 1 all-state tight end, Hamilton made 55 catches for 887 yards and 11 scores for Strongsville.

Cyrus Kouandjio, OL, 6-7, 290, DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.), Senior, Undecided

The nation’s top offensive lineman overcame a knee sprain to earn all-state honors, helping to lead DeMatha to a 9-3 record.

Walker, a jumbo lineman with a mean streak, was an all-state pick after paving the way for Glenville’s prodigious offense.

Hegarty, who is South Bend-bound, is New Mexico’s top recruit and earned all-state honors as a senior.

Banner is one of the nation’s top juniors and earned 3A all-state recognition.

Christian Westerman, OL, 6-5, 295, Hamilton (Chandler, Ariz.), Senior, Texas

Despite missing several games after suffering a microfracture to his tibia and fibula, Westerman was dominant enough to earn all-state honors for 5A-I champion Hamilton.

Marquise Williams, QB, 6-3, 220, Mallard Creek (Charlotte, N.C.), Senior, North Carolina

Williams had a phenomenal senior season, completing 170 of 254 passes for 3,034 yards and 45 touchdowns. He also carried the ball for 1,147 yards and 19 scores.

Kiehl Frazier, QB, 6-3, 210, Shiloh Christian (Springdale, Ark.), Senior, Auburn
Video
One of the nation’s top dual-threat players, Frazier was 153 of 243 passing for 2,975 yards and 42 touchdowns. Using his legs, he rushed 164 times for 1,164 yards and 22 touchdowns.

Malcolm Brown, RB, 6-1, 218, Steele (Cibolo, Texas), Senior, Texas

Brown was named 5A offensive player of the year in Texas. He rushed 299 times for 2,636 yards and 30 touchdowns and added three receiving touchdowns, including one in Steele’s 24-21 victory over Denton Guyer in the 5A-II final.

The driving-force offensively behind South Panola’s 6A state title, Griffin racked up 2,670 yards and found the end zone 37 times. Mississippi’s Mr. Football added three receiving touchdowns.

Shell gained 2,510 yards on 323 carries this season, scoring 32 times. He has 29-consecutive 100-yard games.

One of the most impressive players in the Lone Star State, Manziel connected on 225 of 343 passes for 3,559 yards and 44 touchdowns while rushing 171 times for 1,695 yards and 30 scores.

Rated as one of the nation’s top kickers, Van Ginkel was a touchback machine 47. Of his 14 field goals, he managed to connect on four of more than 45 yards.

The Tulsa World named Alexander its player of the year after he registered 151 tackles and 14 sacks.



Deonte Gibson, DL, 6-3, 225, St. Edward (Lakewood, Ohio), Senior, Undecided
Gibson earned Cleveland Plain Defensive Player of the Year honors after a season in which he had 83 tackles and 16 sacks in the regular season alone. He helped lead St. Edward to the Division 1 title.

Mario Edwards, DL, 6-4, 250, Ryan (Denton, Texas), Junior, Undecided
With 32 tackles for loss and 12 sacks, Edwards was the 4A defensive player of the year in his first season at Ryan.

Daquan Romero, DL, 6-2, 215, Phoebus (Hampton, Va.), Senior, North Carolina

Romero, the Daily Press defensive player of the year, notched 19 sacks and led a stout Phoebus defense that was crucial to the Phantom’s Division 5 title run.

One of the most heavily-recruited linebackers in the country, Dawson was in on 158 tackles and also grabbed four interceptions.

Cameron Lynch, LB, 5-11, 220, Brookwood (Snellville, Ga.), Senior, Syracuse
Lynch did it all for Brookwood, accounting for 188 tackles, 17 1 / 2 sacks, and five interceptions, helping the Broncos capture the AAAAA title.

Wilder, who is considered the nation’s No. 1 recruit, excelled on both sides of the ball for 5A finalist Plant. At linebacker, he made 75 tackles and had eight sacks.

With 84 tackles, nine sacks, and four forced fumbles, Thomas was an all-state selection as well as a Free-Press Dream Team pick.

Anthony punished opposing offenses to the tune of 123 tackles, four sacks, and two interceptions, helping him gain all-state recognition.

Doran Grant, DB, 5-11, 180, St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, Ohio), Senior, Undecided
Grant earned a reputation as one of the country’s finest shutdown cornerbacks. He was the Ohio Division 3 Defensive Player of the Year and the Akron Beacon Journal Player of the Year.

One of the fastest-rising recruits this season, Roberson had three interceptions, seven pass deflections, and five pass break-ups.

Jabriel Washington, DB, 6-0, 170, Trinity Christian Academy (Jackson, Tenn.), Senior, Alabama

An impact player since his freshman season, Washington made 111 tackles and six interceptions while leading Trinity Christian to the state finals.

DaVaris Daniels, DB, 6-2, 164, Vernon Hills (Vernon Hills, Ill.), Senior, Notre Dame
Not only did Daniels accumulate 1,773 all-purpose yards, but he intercepted six passes from the safety position en route to Chicago Sun-Times all-area honors.

Eric Farkas, P, 5-11, 200, Seminole (Sanford, Fla.), Senior, Delaware
Farkas averaged over 47 yards per punt and placed 13 punts inside the 20-yard line.
