Volleyball Recap: Lansing Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Lansing and Blue Valley Southwest squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Lansing had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timberwolves. The Lions have struggled against the Timberwolves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Blue Valley Southwest can attribute much of their success to Melia Peters, who had 11 digs and two assists.

Lansing's defeat dropped their record down to 29-10. As for Blue Valley Southwest, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 28 of their last 30 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 37-4 record this season.

Lansing wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Maize South on the 1st. As for Blue Valley Southwest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Saint Thomas Aquinas on the 1st.
