Basketball Game Preview: West Oaks Academy Flame vs. Central Pointe Christian Academy CPCA

Willie Burnett III continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 31 points. His afternoon made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Marcis Ponder, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Central Pointe Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 60-55 to Southland Christian.

West Oaks Academy pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Central Pointe Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

West Oaks Academy couldn't quite finish off Central Pointe Christian Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2023 and fell 63-60. Can West Oaks Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
