Basketball Recap: Springfield Blue Devils vs. Northview Wildcats
The Springfield Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 53-41 to Northview. If Springfield was looking for revenge after losing 79-75 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Springfield lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kai Taylor, who scored 13 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Taylor has scored all season. Nate Pope was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Springfield dropped their record down to 3-12 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Northview, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Wauseon the next time they take the court. Springfield will head out to face the Indians at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcats will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
