Palo Verde is a perfect 4-0 against Sierra Vista since August of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Panthers will welcome the Mountain Lions at 6:00 p.m.

Palo Verde is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Arbor View, who was ranked 18th at the time (Palo Verde was ranked fourth). The Panthers won by a goal and slipped past the Aggies 2-1. The win continues a trend for Palo Verde in their matchups with Arbor View: they've now won four in a row.

Daniel Martinez and Henry Reed scored both of Palo Verde's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in August, Sierra Vista was forced to settle for a draw on Wednesday. They and Las Vegas finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The outcome might've been different if Phoenix Rincon hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Palo Verde's victory bumped their record up to 11-3-3. Sierra Vista's draw gives them a new season record of 6-11-3.

Palo Verde beat Sierra Vista 3-1 in their previous matchup back in September. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Mountain Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
