Recap: Florence Gophers vs. San Tan Foothills Sabercats
The Florence Gophers can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past San Tan Foothills 67-47. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Florence as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Florence got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aubrey Farmer out in front who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Farmer has scored all season. Keylee Scarbrough was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 20 rebounds.
Florence's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for San Tan Foothills, they bumped their record down to 5-12 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Florence will take on Pusch Ridge Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Pusch Ridge Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Tuesday. As for San Tan Foothills, they will head out on the road to challenge Benjamin Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Benjamin Franklin will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
