Basketball Recap: Providence Hall's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Providence Hall had lost six games on the road dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 2-1 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 69-57 win over the Ben Lomond Scots. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 64-34 victory the Scots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.

Ryker Lancaster had an outrageously good game as he shot 64% from the field en route to 19 points and six boards. Those 19 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Curtis, who posted eight points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals.

As for Ben Lomond, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-5. On the bright side, the 57- point effort marked their highest-scoring matchup to date.

Despite the loss, Ben Lomond still got an impressive performance from Taggart Bush, who went 13-for-23 to rack up 31 points. Kru Boyle was another key player, putting up 12 points along with seven boards and three blocks.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence Hall will challenge Maeser Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 3rd. As for Ben Lomond, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Joseph at 5:15 p.m. on the 9th.
