Softball Recap: La Marque Has No Trouble Against Royal

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sealy, La Marque was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Royal Falcons 17-2. The high-scoring effort was just what the Cougars needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

La Marque got a massive performance out of Jaylyn Perry, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Perry has been hot recently, having also posted at least one triple the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Katherine Salazar, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

La Marque's victory bumped their record up to 8-17. As for Royal, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14-1.

As of now, neither La Marque nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
