Basketball Recap: Christian Learning Center's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Christian Learning Center put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 34-26 win over the Heartland Mustangs. Given Christian Learning Center's advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 13th in Kansas, while Heartland is ranked 200th in Missouri), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Heartland's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Elizabeth Archibald, who went 6 for 9 on her way to 11 points, and Kalei Hallam, who posted five points and nine rebounds.

Christian Learning Center pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Heartland, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4.

Christian Learning Center will take on Liberty HomeSchool Alliance in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Heartland, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Clinton Christian Academy at 1:15 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Heartland's defense has only allowed 28.4 points per game this season, so Clinton Christian Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
