Baseball Recap: Bethlehem Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Bethlehem and Poplar Springs meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Wildcats lost 16-3 to the Atomics. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Atomics from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Bethlehem saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Clayton Marshall, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one double.

Bethlehem's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Poplar Springs, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Bethlehem wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 24-1 defeat against Malone on the 1st. As for Poplar Springs, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-11 win against Ponce De Leon on the 28th.
