Josiah Melendez produced another solid effort rushing for 101 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, while also throwing for 235 yards and one TD while completing 84.6% of his passes for Woodcreek. Melendez's longest rush was for an impressive 61 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Blake Hastings was another key player, rushing for 82 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries.

Destiny Christian Academy now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Woodcreek, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
