Basketball Game Preview: Geneva Panthers vs. Dale County Warriors

Geneva is 10-0 against Dale County since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Geneva Panthers will be taking part in a tournament against the Dale County Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Geneva is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.

Geneva is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their matchup on Saturday with ease, bagging a 99-5 win over Daleville. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 23 points or more this season.

Kaden Ward was her usual excellent self, as she made all 10 shots she took racking up 24 points along with seven boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Bella Johnson, who posted four points in addition to seven assists and six steals.

Geneva smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 30 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Dale County had no trouble coming through when it counted. They secured a 25-21 W over Ashford on Saturday.

Geneva has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.8 points per game. As for Dale County, their victory bumped their record up to 8-17.
