Volleyball Recap: Mount Paran Christian Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Mount Paran Christian and Lovett squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Mount Paran Christian had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Lions. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.

Mount Paran Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Nola Belle Schoenborn and Kelsie Moran. Schoenborn had seven digs and two aces, while Moran had six digs.

Lovett got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kate Kennedy out in front who had 14 assists and seven digs. Another player making a difference was Ali Wainwright, who had 24 assists and three digs.

The defeat snapped Mount Paran Christian's winning streak at six matches and leaves them with a 38-12 record. As for Lovett, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 29 of their last 31 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 41-3 record this season.

Mount Paran Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lovett, they will square off against Hebron Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
