East Mecklenburg waltzed into their game on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves with a sharp 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant East Mecklenburg was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-13, 25-5.

Jane Young paced East Mecklenburg's offense, picking up 15 kills. Young got some help from Sydney Leo and her 23 assists. Lillian Carlson controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

East Mecklenburg's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Ballantyne Ridge, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
