White River came tearing into Saturday's contest with 14 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.1 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Evergreen Plainsmen by a score of 59-46. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Plainsmen are ranked 89th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

White River pushed their record up to 21-2 with the win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.9 points over those games. As for Evergreen, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7.
