Baseball Recap: Sherman's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Sherman was feeling good fresh off their 18-2 takedown of Hannan last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Sherman fell just short of the Man Hillbillies by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The Tide were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hillbillies from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Colby Atkins made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.

Sherman's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2. As for Man, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coming up, Sherman will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Capital at 7:00 p.m. As for Man, they are taking a road trip to square off against Tug Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
