South skates past Independence with ease

The South Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Independence on the road to the tune of 90-60. That looming 90-60 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for South yet this season.

Among those leading the charge was Chris Stokes, who scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Zakhi Davison was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

South pushed their record up to 8-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 20.33 points. As for Independence, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.

South will be playing in front of their home fans against West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 494th, while South is ranked 141st). As for Independence, they will head out on the road to face off against Walnut Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
