Softball Recap: Hayesville Yellowjackets vs. Hiwassee Dam Eagles
Hayesville extended their losing streak to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 1-11. They lost 16-6 to the Hiwassee Dam Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 on Tuesday.

Hayesville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Micalynn McClure, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. McClure is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Daylyn Murray was another, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
As for Hiwassee Dam, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
On Hiwassee Dam's side, Bella Davenport was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ryleigh Harris, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hayesville will take on rival Swain County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Hiwassee Dam is set to face off against their familiar foe Rosman at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
