Softball Recap: Tonopah Comes Up Short

Tonopah lost against Mineral County on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Tonopah took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mineral County. The Muckers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tonopah saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liberty Deck, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Haiden Anderson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Tonopah's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Mineral County, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Tonopah will face off against Mountain View Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mineral County, they will square off against Wells at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wells has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.63 runs per game on average), something Mineral County will no doubt try to take advantage of.
