Softball Recap: Wabaunsee Takes a Loss

Wabaunsee lost to Onaga on Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Chargers came up short against the Buffaloes, falling 20-8. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kendra Conrad was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Sarah Denton, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Wabaunsee's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Onaga, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wabaunsee will square off against Lyndon at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Onaga, they will challenge Oskaloosa at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Buffaloes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
