Western Boone has won three straight games at home, while Cascade has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Stars will welcome the Cadets at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
If Cascade heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Western Boone took over last week. The Stars strolled past North Putnam with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 41-26.

It was another big night for Jacob Smith, who rushed for 245 yards and five scores while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. He is becoming a predictor of Western Boone's success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 4-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
Western Boone didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Beau Sawyer and Jack Mallory. Levi Adkins was another major factor on D, making 13 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass.
Meanwhile, Cascade never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Southmont 46-0. Considering the Cadets have won seven matchups by more than 35 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Cascade's win came from a few key players Western Boone will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brady Trebley, who rushed for 30 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 104 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Marcus J Hobson, who picked up 75 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Cascade's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Western Boone, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Western Boone has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 261.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Cascade struggles in that department as they've been averaging 244.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Western Boone against Cascade in their previous matchup back in October of 2017, as the squad secured a 48-20 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Cadets' Jason Mantooth, who rushed for 127 yards and one TD on only 15 carries. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Stars to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
